About Brandi
Get to Know Brandi
Brandi Jonasson has proudly called Shawnee home since 2004. She and her husband, Brian, chose to raise their family here because of the exceptional schools in USD 232. All three of their children have attended schools in the district from preschool through high school. Her oldest son is currently a junior at the University of Kansas, her middle son is a freshman at Johnson County Community College, and her daughter is a sophomore at Mill Valley High School.
Brandi is the co-owner of Lure Creative, a local digital marketing agency, where she manages both project operations and client relationships. In addition to her professional work, she has served on the USD 232 Board of Education for the past four years and is currently the Board’s vice president.
Community service has always been at the heart of Brandi’s work. She currently serves as president of her neighborhood homeowners association and previously dedicated hundreds of volunteer hours to the Prairie Ridge Elementary PTO. Her leadership roles have included six years on the PTO board, three years co-chairing the fall fundraiser, and seven years leading the spring carnival. Brandi has led fundraising efforts at Monticello Trails Middle School, and created family service opportunities throughout the district.
Brandi is passionate about public education and believes in giving back to the schools that have helped shape her family. She values the district’s commitment to continuous improvement and its focus on preparing students for a wide variety of paths. Brandi is running for re-election to continue advocating for students, teachers, and families—and to help ensure that USD 232 remains a place where all children can thrive.
In her spare time, Brandi enjoys being outdoors, reading, watching sports, traveling and spending time with her family and friends!
